About the Dial-A-ZIP from External File Command

From the Design tab, the Layout > Dial-A-ZIP from External File command runs Dial-A-ZIP for a list of addresses. This list must be in one of the DAZzle supported formats. After selecting this command, DAZzle guides you through the following steps:

  1. Select the file that contains the list of addresses.
  2. Select the type of text file.
  3. Select any options for formatting the data on the list file, including field mapping.
  4. Run Dial-A-ZIP, which updates the file with corrected addressees and ZIP+4 data.

When DAZzle has completed the processing, DAZzle backs up the original list file and displays a Results dialog box, which indicates:

If the Dial-A-ZIP process stops or the ZIP-Station limits the addresses per phone call, DAZzle lets you reconnect to the ZIP-Station and continue verifying the list.
